CHALLENGE
A majority of women feel they lack the information about how to use makeup. Revlon wanted to show consumers that their makeup lines could be used to create the glamorous looks of their dreams. Glamour Magazine, in their continued effort to develop innovative value-added programs for their advertising clients, wanted to create a vibrant, fun show for the launch of their new web portal “Glamour.TV.”

CAMPAIGN IDEA
For Beauty Wars, Freestyle worked with Glamour Magazine to develop a reality series that features guests preparing for a big event as the center of a style make-over contest. Each episode would feature an individual preparing to attend an event in which they must be dressed up and made up. Two stylists propose a make-over for the special event and the guest decides whose look they like best. The winning stylist will then make-over the guest in preparation for the event.

RESULTS
Freestyle cast and produced each of the four episodes of this series. To support each guest in their decision-making process, Freestyle brought on Debi Mazar (starring on Entourage, Debi began her career as Madonna’s makeup artist). The four episodes aired in the launch of “Glamour.TV” and was the number one watched show.
