Challenge

Glamour Magazine wanted to up the cache of their image within the New York advertiser circles. They wanted to build upon the content approach to our previous partnerships in a way that continued to give women an empowering platform to be creative.

Campaign Idea

The idea of THESE GIRLS was born, a platform for rising stars in entertainment to step out of their comfort zone and talk about the things on their mind. We would host a live night of monologues written and performed by some of the most interesting young women in entertainment.

Results

In the Fall of 2012,  the initial event was held at Joe's Pub to an exclusive invite-only crowd. Zosia Mamet, Rashida Jones, Olivia Wilde, Aubrey Plaza, Lauren Miller and Ari Graynor performed their monologues, supported by music by Garfunkel and Oates. Surprise guests included an opening video from Gloria Steinem and closing remarks from Amy Poehler. The overwhelming success of the event led to us doing it again in the Spring of 2013, with a new group of women that included Zosia Mamet, Amy Schumer, Emma Roberts, Lucy Punch and Diana Agron, with Amy Poehler once again closing the show.
